walking through woods
in bare moonlight – shade over shade,
black within black –
I see what cannot be seen in day
ask what can be seen of me
walking through woods
in bare moonlight – shade over shade,
black within black –
I see what cannot be seen in day
ask what can be seen of me

shivers with that last line. and to go from the painting of darkness to the line “I see”–this poem has a sense of power that can turn the last line into one of defiance
